Sloane the Brand and Café Olivia are collaborating to celebrate the Breakthrough Artists exhibition on April 25th, 11am-2pm, and the launch of their merch partnership with the goal of increasing art visibility across the Dallas community. Sloane the Brand is a sustainable clothing brand founded by Margaret Hohenshelt and Cecilia Chen in 2023, and places an emphasis on the accessibility of art education and on making sustainable fashion a possibility for everyone. A large portion of Sloane’s profits are donated in the form of art supplies to DISD elementary schools where art education funding and support is low. These Sloane X Olivia crewnecks (made from 85% organic cotton grown sustainably and printed with 100% biodegradable dyes) are heavily inspired by Fauvism icon Henry Matisse’s style and blend together Sloane’s emphasis on art history and Café Olivia’s minimalistic approach graphic on the bacl and "daily rituals" script on the front chest pocket.
